complete a research project on a current astronomical topic. Although the
class itself examines stars and galaxies, the student may feel free to select
any subject area as long as it involves an up-to-date topic of research.
You will find many possibilities by searching through astronomy-related news
stories accessible from the class web site.
Schedule for the project:
selection due (in writing, please): February 16
Term project outline due: March 21
project due: April 27
an original paper based on your own research:
acceptable length: 5 (full) pages
double-spaced, single-sided, 12-point
Times New Roman font
format: APA (follow the link on the class web site for more information)
the first page, list your name, your student number, title of paper, date
handed in, and course number – see example project.
with at least three primary sources.
