Back in 1995, Phil Harrington completed a Master's degree in environmental engineering from New York Institute of Technology. As terminal project for the degree, a thesis on a topic related in some manner to an environmental issue was required. What better topic for an amateur astronomer to write about than light pollution? This thesis does not battle light pollution from an astronomical viewpoint, however; rather, it looks at the subject from an environmental/energy perspective. With the hope that others might be able to use the information and data collected within, Phil's thesis was into converted into .PDF format and posted here.
